Bowling Green man accused of injuring 9-year-old with can of beans
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green man is charged with child abuse after police said he threw a can of beans at his 9-year-old stepdaughter, resulting in an injury.
According to an arrest citation, officials from a local school notified police that the 9-year-old had a large, significant bruise on her lower right abdomen from where the can hit her.
Police later spoke with the victim’s mother who accused her husband of punching her in the head when she confronted him about the incident, according to the citation.
Ricky Carver, 36, is charged with first-degree criminal abuse on a victim under 12, and fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.
Carver was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. He’s being held on a $6,350 bond.
