Bowling Green business owner accused of stealing nearly $204,000 worth of construction equipment
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The owner of a local air conditioning company is under arrest, accused of stealing over $203,000 worth of construction equipment from multiple states.
Douglas Burd, 56, is charged with multiple crimes, including receiving stolen property and fraudulent insurance acts.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, investigators located the stolen items at a residence on Goss Parrish Rd., including two tractors and an excavator.
Deputies said other items were also located that had their VIN or serial numbers removed or altered.
Burd is the owner of Southern Kentucky Affordable Heat and Air.
Burd is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
