UPDATE: BGPD responds to fatal wreck on Lovers Lane

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department has confirmed at least one person has died in a three-vehicle collision Wednesday evening on Lovers Lane.

BGPD public information officer Ronnie Ward stated he was responding to the scene around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Bowling Green police stated on Twitter around 8 p.m. that the eastbound section of Lovers Lane is closed near the Soccer Complex.

Drivers are being turned around back toward Scottsville Road. Police say the westbound section is down to one lane.

The road will be closed for several hours for reconstruction.
