BGMU general manager receives award for leadership, commitment

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Municipal Utilities General Manager Mark Iverson received the 2026 Richard C. Crawford Distinguished Service Award, according to a release.

On Tuesday. Iverson was honored at the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association’s 80th Annual Conference in Louisville.

TVPPA recognizes member-system generals or CEOs for their leadership and continued commitment to the industry and community, according to the release. Iverson has represented the Valley power model at the local, state and national levels.

Iverson served as BGMU Chief Financial Officer from 1994 until 1999 and is the current General Manager, a role he has held since 2006.
