BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Independent School District Board of Education approved a property tax decrease for 2027 Monday.

In a statement, the board said the real property tax will drop from 84.8 cents to 84.2 cents per $100 of property value.

The personal property tax rate proposal will remain at 84.8 cents per $100, according to the statement.

BGISD expects to collect $19.1 million in total tax revenue in 2027, up $888,211 from 2026.

Allocation:

Building fund: $170,892

Instruction: $502, 727

Transportation: $50,539

Maintenance of schools: $146, 289
