BETA Club donates $3,000 towards Carl Sweeney Memorial Scholarship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-This morning, a large donation was made in honor of Carl Sweeney at Natcher Elementary. 

The Natcher BETA Club donated $3,000 towards the Carl Sweeney Memorial Scholarship. 

Mr. Sweeney was the elementary school’s first custodian, serving from 1990 to 2002. He made an impact in every child’s life that he met. 

“It was real special. You know my dad spent a lot of time at Natcher Elementary. All the faculty and students love him. It was a real special moment,” said Carl’s son Greg Sweeney.

Western Kentucky University’s College Heights Foundation helped them out with the “big check” and brought Big Red along to help celebrate!
