Beshear orders flags to half-staff Friday for Fort Campbell soldier

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear is ordering flags at all state office building to be lowered to half-staff to honor a Fort Campbell soldier who died during a training exercise.
The tribute will last from sunrise to sunset on Friday, April 21.
According to the U.S. Army, Sgt. Isaac J. Gayo, 27, of Los Angeles, California, died March 29 when his HH60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed in Trigg County during a routine training mission.
Gayo was assigned to 6th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Funeral services for Gayo will be held on Friday.
