Beaver Dam postpones concert series; fireworks will proceed

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — In a press release Thursday, the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission announced their decision to postpone their weekly “Sounds on Second” concert series. Scheduled to begin Friday, July 3, a rise in local Covid-19 cases led to the postponement. A new starting date has yet to be announced.

“Sparks in the Park,” which was scheduled for Saturday has also been cancelled. Full refunds will be made to ticket holders.

A city fireworks display will proceed as scheduled Saturday night. The point of origin for the fireworks will be near the Beaver Dam City Park, and those in the area are encouraged to practice social distancing by watching the display from their homes or vehicles.
