UPDATE: Barren County Sheriff’s Office arrests man after fight results in knife injury

HISEVILLE, Ky. – Police have arrested a man after they say another man was injured by a knife Thursday.

On Dec. 29 around 1:30 p.m., the Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Branstetter Street in Hiseville for a physical altercation between two men. The altercation was due to a road rage incident from earlier yesterday morning, according to police.

Police say they arrived to find a man on the front porch with a severe laceration to his face. Witnesses said the victim had been in an altercation with Anthony Hamblin 52, of Hiseville, according to police.

The BCSO says Hamblin used a large knife to cut the man across the face before fleeing the scene. Police have since located and arrested Hamblin, who is charged with first-degree assault.

The injured man was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment and was later transferred to University of Louisville Hospital.

Hamblin will be in the Barren County Detention Center.
