Barren County Schools names Susan Pace principal of Eastern Elementary

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County Schools has named Susan Pace as the new principal of Eastern Elementary School.
According to the district, Pace brings more than 20 years of experience in education and has served students and schools in a variety of instructional and leadership roles throughout her career. She began her journey in public education as a teacher and math interventionist at LeGrande Elementary School and later joined the Barren County team at Temple Hill Elementary.
Susan has served as an intermediate math teacher at Hiseville Elementary since 2011. She earned a bachelor of science in elementary education from Western Kentucky University and later completed a master’s degree in level I and level II administration at the University of the Cumberlands.
“We were looking for a leader who is student-centered, relationship-driven, and committed to helping both students and staff reach their full potential,” Superintendent Amy Irwin said. “Susan’s passion for children, her instructional knowledge, and her heart for serving others made her the right choice to lead Eastern Elementary. We are excited to welcome her into this new role.”
Pace commented, “I am honored and blessed to begin this school year as one of the newest members of the Eastern Elementary Wildcat family.”
As the new school year approaches, the district says Pace looks forward to partnering with students, staff, families and the Eastern community.
