Baby Jesus stolen out of nativity scene
SMTIHS GROVE, – People steal money, or valuable items all the time, but at a church in Warren County, baby Jesus was stolen right out of his manger.
Smiths Grove Police are searching for whomever took the Jesus figurine from the nativity set displayed outside of Smiths Grove United Methodist Church.
While the church is asking for the safe return of baby Jesus, they have already ordered a new figurine costing them $50.
Members of the church noticed the figure was gone on Friday and has yet to be returned.
When asked about the theft, Smiths Grove Police Chief Jason Franks remarked, “If you really need Jesus that much, go to a Sunday service instead.”
If you have any information about the whereabouts of baby Jesus, contact the Smiths Grove Police Department.
