Authorities investigating fatal motorcycle crash in Elizabethtown.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Elizabethtown Saturday evening.

According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, officers responded to a reported collision near the intersection of Patriot Parkway (KY 361) and Rineyville Road (KY 1600).

Investigators say a man operating a motorcycle was traveling south on Patriot Parkway when the motorcycle collided with the rear of a pickup truck that was turning right from Rineyville Road onto southbound Patriot Parkway.

First responders transported the motorcyclist to Baptist Health Hardin for treatment of critical injuries. The motorcyclist later died at the hospital.

The truck driver was uninjured.

Authorities say no criminal charges are expected.

The investigation is ongoing.
