Alabama man with 13 warrants arrested in Bowling Green in stolen vehicle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A 21-year-old Alabama man with 13 warrants is now behind bars in the Warren County Regional Jail.

According to an arrest citation, Bowling Green police responded late Monday night to the Minit Mart on Three Springs Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot.

Police say they noticed Harley Wayne Hill of Hillsboro, Alabama either asleep or passed out in the driver’s seat.

Officers say they noticed a pistol magazine in plain view in the cup holder.

After waking Hill up, police learned about his multiple warrants out of Alabama for burglary and other crimes.

When police searched the vehicle, officers say they located a stolen handgun and more than 8.5 grams of marijuana.

Police later confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from Barren County.

Police say Hill later admitted to stealing the vehicle.
