Hero on the job: intern saves a life

(WBOY) A college student intern at a police department in Burnsville, West Virginia is being recognized for saving a man’s life while responding to a call on March 14.

Glenville State College senior and criminal justice major Jacob Bullard joined Burnsville Police Chief James Ball to help an unconscious man who had overdosed on heroin.

After six or seven minutes of performing CPR, Bullard was able to restart the man’s heart, keeping him alive.

Bullard says he’s just one of many officers around the country that run into a similar situation each day, but when the time came to act, he was glad to be prepared to save a life.
