Fatal wreck cause I-165 to shut down for several hours

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Monday, around 3:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police received a call for service in reference to a injury collision at the 9 mile marker of Interstate 165 in Warren County.

According to police, Anthony Rutledge (53) of Henderson was operating a 1999 Ford F-350 with a gooseneck trailer northbound on I-165.

The front driver side tire of Rutledge’s vehicle failed causing the vehicle to lose control and cross the median, according to a press release.

The Ford truck entered into the southbound lanes where it struck a 1997 Kenworth commercial vehicle being operated by David A. McClain (52) of Franklin.

David McClain was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Warren County Coroner.

Anthony Rutledge was transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green where he was treated for injuries, according to the release.
