Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect in hit-and-run at cemetery
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – A cemetery was damaged in Edmonson County early Sunday morning, according to Edmonson County Sheriff Shane Doyle, and he is looking for the persons responsible.
The sheriff, calling the situation a hit and run at Cove Hollow Cemetery after a vehicle struck brick posts, a fence and several small trees, destroyed the gated exit to the cemetery.
At the scene, officials found parts of a vehicle, including a headlight, and tracked the part numbers to a 1992 Ford Ranger.
Doyle says other vehicle pieces left behind indicate the truck was likely dark green in color.
Doyle says if you see a green pickup truck with significant front-end damage, likely missing a headlight, contact the sheriff’s office at 270-597-2729.
