Some organizations bring Easter egg hunts to families
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Easter is coming up, and local organizations are using unique approaches to keep festivities alive.
The Bowling Green Hot Rods are just one example. The baseball team gave the community the chance to sign up to have the Hot Rods egg your yard, meaning they’ll hide Easter eggs in your yard.
The family can then have an Easter egg hunt at home on Saturday April 3. The eggs are filled with candy and small toys. Community interest was so high, that the Hot Rods ended up selling out all of their packages before Easter.
Eric Leach with the Hot Rods said this is just another way to help the community keep a fun tradition going.
“The Hot Rods are synonymous with entertainment and fun. That’s what we aim to deliver every time we open up our ballpark doors. It’s no different whether it’s here or we’re going out in the community. We want to be engaged,” Leach said.
The Warren East High School band program is also hosting a similar event to raise money for their program.
