Firefighters battle ag shop fire in Metcalfe County

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – Firefighters battled a blaze in Metcalfe County Friday afternoon.

According to the North Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department (NMVFD), firefighters responded to Little Critter Road to support the Hiseville Volunteer Fire Department with a reported garage fire.

Firefighters located a large agricultural shop structure fully engulfed with immediate exposure to a full grain bin and wooded area.

NMVFD says 16 firefighters contained the fire with no reported injuries.

Edmonton/Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department, Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department, East Barren Volunteer Fire Department, and Barren-Metcalfe EMS assisted at the scene.
