BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – World Down Syndrome day is Sunday and the Bowling Green Buddy House is working to make this weekend a special one for a lot of local buddies.

Saturday, because of social distancing, a drive-through ice cream social will be held at the Buddy House.

Buddies will be able to stop by and get a sundae while staying safe in their vehicles.

Then Sunday, the Bowling Green Hot Rods stadium will be the site of the Downward Dog for Down Syndrome Event.

The event is free to the community, but anyone who wants to take the yoga class on the field will pay $15.

Stephanie Morton with the Buddy House says the events are all to celebrate the buddies during World Down Syndrome Day.

At the event, you can also register for their annual Step Up For Down Syndrome event as well.

If you can’t make it to the event, you will be able to register online starting Sunday as well.
