Morgantown man accused of vehicle theft

SWEEDEN, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Butler County man Thursday in the theft of a truck.

The sheriff’s office took a complaint Jan. 30 that a 2012 GMC Sierra was stolen from Old Kyrock Road in the Sweeden community. The next day the truck was found at a home in Butler County.

Thursday deputies arrested Joseph Coin of Morgantown, Ky. and charged him with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, according to a release from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office. Coin was lodged in the Hart County Jail.

The case is still under investigation, and more arrests in Butler and Edmonson counties are expected.
