KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — It was never much of a surprise that the Kansas City Chiefs eventually would sign Patrick Mahomes to the largest contract in NFL history. Especially after the brilliant young quarterback had just led the franchise to its first title in 50 years. What did surprise some people? That Mahomes left some money on the table. That allowed the Chiefs to keep the core of their Super Bowl team intact and now they are reaping the rewards. They are headed back to Florida to defend their title against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the intention of building a Patriots-esque dynasty.
