Kroger to give out COVID-19 vaccines
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Kroger has announced that they will be partnering with the state of Kentucky to give out the COVID-19 vaccine locally.
The first mass drive-thru Kroger clinic is expected to begin Feb. 1. The location and scheduling details will be shared with the public on Jan. 28.
Kroger has a widespread presence in Kentucky with 101 pharmacies and 43 Little Clinic locations, which will help them give the vaccine to much of the population.
The vaccine will be given to people in Phase 1a, 1b, and 1c.
“I think Kroger health providers are among the most tangible and accessible healthcare providers in the Commonwealth. And so we are looking forward to expanding the vaccination efforts and partnership with the state to increase vaccine availability to Kentuckians,” said Jeremy Crain, Kroger health and wellness leader.
The exact locations and scheduling details will be shared publicly on Jan. 28.
