The Railpark’s Polar Express is coming to town
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Historic Railpark and Train Museum is hosting its 18th annual Polar Express this year a little differently than normal.
Instead of having story time inside of the train cars, it will be held inside of the grand lobby in order to allow families to gather together but to social distance from other families.
Most years, the Railpark offers about 4,000 tickets to the Polar Express, but this year, to allow for social distancing and cleaning protocols, they will only be selling 1,000 tickets. The event is enormously popular and sells out quickly.
Ticket purchases will open up to Railpark members on Nov. 9 through Nov. 12
Once story time is over, kids will be able to see Santa, but will not be able to sit on his lap this year because of the pandemic.
The Polar Express events will be held from Dec. 7 through Dec. 12 every hour from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
