Jurors can now receive information via text

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Jurors in some counties can now sign up to receive service updates by text.

The text notifications are courtesy reminders.

These texts will supplement the juror having to call or check a website for jury messages for updates and instructions regarding trials.

Under the previous system, jurors were responsible to call in every day after 4:30 p.m. to find out whether or not they will be needed for jury service the following day.

The text system will not replace the jury reporting line but is a supplemental service for the convenience of jurors.

Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney Chris Cohron said the new system will save jurors’ time.

Although this new system is rolling out, jurors are reminded that the jury reporting line is still their main form of communication.
