Glasgow Police Department shares safety reminder regarding golf carts

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department is reminding residents that golf carts should not be used on public roadways within city limits.
Police say this includes alleys and roads within the City of Glasgow.
According to the department, a Kentucky Revised Statute allows for a local option of approval via a city ordinance to allow golf carts to legally operate on public roadways.
However, police say the city has not adopted an ordinance allowing this.
Police say this applies to both electric and gas golf carts, including those with headlights, taillights and turn signals.
