WKU announces Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame class of 2026

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky University announced the three teachers who will join the Louis B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame in 2026.

According to a release, Katherine Cleary, Lana Green-Willis, and Dorothy McCubbin join the 2026 class after being selected by a statewide committee.

The induction ceremony will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, on WKU’s Campus.

The Hall of Famers

Mrs. Cleary (left in image) has taught at preschools and elementary schools in Monroe, Warren, Logan, and Allen counties over the past 23 years and counting.

Mrs. Green-Willis (center in image) taught Social Studies at Grayson County High School for 32 years.

Mrs. McCubbin (right in image) held a variety of educator and administrative roles in Barren County during her 37-year career and retirement.
