Motorcyclist found dead in Clarksville, investigation underway

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department says it is investigating after a motorcyclist was found dead on the ground on Thursday morning.
According to a social media post by the agency, Clarksville authorities received a 911 call Thursday just before 9 a.m. regarding a motorcyclist found lying on the ground near 861 Parham Drive.
Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating circumstances surrounding the incident, according to the agency.
As of around two hours ago, Clarksville police stated one lane of Kraft Street was closed as they processed the scene.
While this closure remains in place, drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route or expect delays in the area.
It is not known at this time whether another vehicle was involved.
Anyone who may have information about the incident or anyone with surveillance or security cameras facing Kraft Street who notices anything unusual overnight is asked to call 911.
