Man accused of intentionally crashing tractor-trailer into Nashville Aldi

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville police responded to a crash into a Nashville grocery store early Thursday.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 34-year-old Kristofer Scruggs allegedly intentionally drove a tractor-trailer rig into the front of Aldi on Gallatin Avenue.

Scruggs allegedly told police that “the thought came to him to crash into the store where he was to have made a delivery.”

Scruggs is charged with felony vandalism greater than $250,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
