1 dead in Barren County crash, police say

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Barren County.

KSP Public Affairs Officer Trooper Katan Parker says troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 7:10 am Wednesday at Scottsville Road and Old Scottsville Road loop.

Parker says there is one confirmed fatality. Another victim was transported for treatment and later flown to an area hospital.

Investigators are currently at the scene reconstructing the crash. The roadway will be closed and motorists are asked to find an alternate route.

The victim has not been identified.
