Barren County man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses after undercover investigation

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Barren County man is charged with child sexual abuse offenses following an undercover investigation.

On Sept. 12 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch investigators arrested 39-year-old Stephen Alan Wolfgang on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

KSP says a search warrant was obtained on Sept. 11 after police say an undercover internet investigation revealed Wolfgang shared images of child sexual exploitation online.

During the investigation, investigators seized equipment believed to have been used to commit the alleged crimes and took it to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

The investigation is ongoing.
