Man indicted on attempted fetal homicide charge in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is formally charged with attempted fetal homicide in Barren County.

According to court records, an indictment was filed on Aug. 31, charging 27-year-old Abdulah Mohmand of Bowling Green with attempted fetal homicide. The case stems from an alleged incident that occurred May 25.

Authorities say on that morning, the Kentucky State Police was contacted by a Glasgow woman stating her boyfriend had replaced her prescription medication with an unknown medication.

Troopers say the woman told police she was pregnant and was concerned for the safety of her unborn child.

According to authorities, the woman’s boyfriend was identified as Mohmand.

Troopers say an investigation was launched, and a search warrant was obtained for Mohmand’s home.

According to authorities, they located medication matching the unknown medication the woman had consumed in Mohmand’s home.

Mohmand was arrested and lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.

Court records state Mohmand is scheduled for arraignment on Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.
