BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after allegedly shooting into a vehicle, injuring one person.

According to a uniform citation, on Monday, Aug. 17, 19-year-old Brijwon Morgan of Bowling Green was arrested in connection with the incident.

He faces charges of first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.

Authorities say three days earlier, a subject was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green with an apparent gunshot wound.

According to authorities, the victim and another subject were in a parked vehicle off of Gordon Avenue. Authorities say one subject was in the driver’s seat, while another subject sat in the backseat.

Police say a second vehicle parked next to the victim’s vehicle. During this time, authorities say a subject exited the second vehicle, produced a handgun and shot at the victim’s vehicle, striking the subject in the backseat.

Morgan was identified as the subject who shot the victim, police say.

Authorities say Morgan was located on Monday and taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.

While speaking with law enforcement at the Bowling Green Police Department, authorities say Morgan admitted to “traveling to the scene of the shooting, producing a handgun and firing at the victim’s vehicle.”

Morgan remains at the Warren County Regional Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
