Man charged with reckless driving, DUI in Warren County

RICHARDSVILLE, Ky. – One man is behind bars on multiple charges after allegedly driving while under the influence in Warren County.
According to a uniform citation, on Monday night, a Kentucky State Police trooper saw a vehicle traveling at 110 miles per hour on Highway 185. Authorities say the vehicle was in a 55 mph zone.
Authorities say the vehicle passed the trooper before turning onto Mount Olivet Road.
Authorities say they stopped the vehicle, which had begun traveling at slow speeds.
The driver was identified as 20-year-old Tristan Cardwell of Roundhill, according to the citation.
Authorities say the odor of alcohol was coming from Cardwell’s vehicle.
Cardwell refused Standard Field Sobriety Testing, according to authorities. He was arrested and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.
Cardwell faces charges of speeding 26 mph or greater, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to register transfer of motor vehicle.
