ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – The Allen County-Scottsville Criminal Investigation Unit is encouraging the community to come forward with information in a recent case involving the death of a 1-year-old.

On Monday, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsville Police Department responded to a reported death on Cottage Drive. On scene, a 1-year-old child was dead, authorities say.

As a result, authorities say 22-year-old Alexandrae Price and 22-year-old Deavan Williams are charged with first-degree criminal abuse (child 12 or under).

The agency states that it’s “one thing to discuss it online, but it’s another to come forward with information that could help investigators.”

On Friday, July 31, authorities say investigators will be available at the Scottsville Police Department from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to speak with anyone who may have details related to the case.

“We encourage family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, delivery drivers, postal employees, service providers or anyone else who may have knowledge of the home, the individuals involved or the child to stop by and speak with us,” the agency states.

Authorities say to not assume information is not important and to allow investigators to make that determination.

The agency says even the smallest details could help establish a timeline or provide evidence critical to the investigation.

If you delivered food, mail, packages or visited the residence for any reason and noticed anything unusual, the agency says it wishes to speak with you. If you can’t stop by, you can text, call or email Detective Ryan Dillon at 270-606-5220, r.dillon@scottsvillepolice.org or Detective Wayne Knox at w.knox@allenkysheriff.org.
