Powerball ticket worth $50,000 sold in Kentucky

PENDLETON, Ky. – A Smart Stop in Kentucky sold one customer a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket.

According to the Kentucky Lottery, the winner of the $50,000 ticket is advised to sign the back of the ticket and to keep it in a safe spot.

Winning tickets should be taken to lottery headquarters at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville.

This is not the only winner that the Kentucky Lottery has seen. In 2026 alone, the Kentucky Lottery has paid almost $1.8 billion in prizes. They don’t stop there -he Kentucky Lottery says it also gives out $1.1 million in scholarships and grants for Kentucky college students.

The next Powerball winning ticket will be announced this Saturday, July 18.
