Edmonson County man dead after crash into tree, troopers say

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – An Edmonson County man has died following a crash Tuesday evening.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call from Edmonson County dispatch regarding a single-vehicle fatal collision. Troopers say they arrived on scene in the 3800 block of Segal Road.

Authorities say a preliminary investigation revealed a passenger vehicle driven by 65-year-old Minor Tim Kinser of Brownsville was traveling east on Segal Road when the vehicle left the road.

Troopers say the vehicle then struck a tree, where the vehicle caught fire.

Kinser was pronounced dead at the scene by the Edmonson County coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
