Allen County man charged with fleeing police on motorcycle

ADOLPHUS, Ky. – An Allen County man is charged with fleeing police on a motorcycle on Monday.
According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force observed a motorcycle operator wanted on warrants turning onto Macedonia Road toward Tennessee.
Authorities say the detective attempted a traffic stop, however, the motorcycle fled at a high rate of speed.
Authorities say the motorcycle operator entered a field and turned around before heading back to Highway 31-E on Oneal Road.
The motorcyclist then traveled into a front yard, authorities say, where he stopped and was told to exit the motorcycle. Authorities say a taser was deployed, and the operator was removed without further incident.
The motorcyclist was identified as 52-year-old Mark Owen of Scottsville.
According to authorities, Owen was in possession of methamphetamine. In addition, authorities say a back passenger had been on the motorcycle and stated she had asked Owen to stop multiple times.
Owen was transported to the Allen County Detention Center.
He faces charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine).
