1 dead after shooting in Bell County, says KSP
MIDDLESBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal shooting in Bell County.
According to KSP, the Middlesboro Police Department requested assistance in a shooting investigation on West Cumberland Avenue near Bell County Coal Saturday evening.
Troopers responded to Middlesboro ARH Hospital, where the gunshot wound victim had been transported. The victim later died at the hospital.
KSP says one person has been detained in the investigation and believes this is an isolated incident and no threat to the community.
The victim has not been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
