Authorities identify body found in Green County

GREENSBURG, Ky. – Green County Emergency Management has identified the body in a death investigation from earlier this month.

According to a release, GCEM responded to a body found at Big Pitman Creek on May 8.

Kayakers located the body tangled in brush.

On Thursday, the body was identified as Ashley N. Matthews.

The Kentucky State Police is investigating Matthews’ death.
