BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Young Republicans hosted an event at White Squirrel Brewery to give community members an opportunity to meet local candidates ahead of the upcoming election.
One of the races highlighted during the event was the Warren County District 6 magistrate race, where all three candidates discussed their qualifications and priorities.
Incumbent Ron Cummings pointed to his experience in Warren County government and community service.
“I’ve been in Warren County since 1974, and I’ve been a Republican my whole life,” Cummings said. “I believe I’m the best option because I bring real-world experience and understand how the system works.”
Candidate Rod Hutcheson emphasized his background in business and volunteer work throughout the community.
“I think I’m the right choice because of my experience and dedication to the residents of this community,” Hutcheson said. “I encourage voters to research the candidates, ask questions and stay informed.”
Candidate Justin Gearlds focused on long-term planning and infrastructure improvements.
“We can take a proactive approach to improving infrastructure, roadways, sewer systems and public safety,” Gearlds said. “I believe I can bring energy, strategic thinking and a proactive mindset to the office.”
