Fountain Run man arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department arrested a man in connection with a burglary on Sunday.

According to a release, GPD officers responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle at MCS Lawncare on South Lewis Street.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle on Monday, according to GPD.

Barren County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Kentucky State Police located 18-year-old suspect Aiden Birdwell, of Fountain Run, inside a residence and placed him into custody.

Birdwell was transported to the Glasgow Police Department, where he was arrested.

Birdwell is charged with third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or displacing of an automobile valued between $10,000 and $1,000,000, first-degree criminal mischief, no operator’s license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
