KYTC to implement four-way stop evaluation at Glasgow intersection

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow road intersection is set for a long-term traffic evaluation.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, an evaluation of U.S. 31-EX (Race Street) and Front Street in Glasgow to determine traffic control options will last at three months.
KYTC says the traffic signals at the intersection will switch to flashing red in all directions on Tuesday, April 28.
Engineers will study traffic flow to determine which traffic control option to implement, according to KYTC.
Officials say preliminary data show that traffic counts at the intersection “no longer meets federal guidelines.”
The study will determine if KYTC implements a four-way stop permanently following the study.
