1 transported after Christian County crash involving 2 tractor-trailers

OAK GROVE, Ky. (WKDZ) – One person was transported following a collision involving two tractor-trailers in Christian County on Friday.
According to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS, first responders were on scene of the crash along the eastbound lanes of 86-mile marker of Interstate 24.
According to a report by WKDZ, deputies say at 5 p.m., an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by 65-year-old Svetislav Nedelikovik of Saint Charles, Illinois, crashed into the back of another tractor-trailer driven by 48-year-old Rodriguez Lamothe of Orlando, Florida.
A spokesman for Hopkinsville Fire Department, Capt. Payton Rogers, says Nedelikovic was transported to Jennie Stuart Health due to injuries, however, the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
According to WKDZ, authorities say an SUV driven by 74-year-old Kay Papin of Weldon Spring, Missouri, struck debris from the collision, damaging the vehicle but not causing injuries.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Friday, WKDZ says the Oak Grove Fire Department was called for one of the tractor-trailers that had caught fire.
WKDZ reports the wreck blocked the eastbound lanes of I-24 on Friday until late Saturday afternoon.
Both trucks were reportedly hauling non-toxic material, according to authorities.
