Bowling Green man allegedly drives under the influence, causes injury collision

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man faces multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence, leading to a crash.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Campbell Lane and Thoroughbred Drive on Tuesday evening.
Officers say the driver who reported the incident, Joseph Brazell, 39, of Bowling Green, was allegedly speaking in a slow pattern.
Brazell told officers he was not injured in the crash but later told EMS he had back and neck pain, according to the citation.
Officers say the second driver complained of head pain following a possible impact with the steering wheel, and that driver was transported for further evaluation.
The citation states that Brazell smelled of alcohol and when asked, he told officers he had consumed three alcoholic beverages earlier that day.
Officers say Brazell agreed to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.
Brazell later told officers he last drank at 5 p.m., according to the citation.
Brazell was arrested and lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (189a.010(1a), first offense (aggravated circumstances).
