SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – An Edmonson County man is in critical condition after a shooting incident in Warren County.

According to KSP Public Affairs Officer Trooper Katan Parker, troopers responded to the 1300 block of Rocky Hill Road to a reported shooting at approximately 6 pm Saturday.

Troopers located 58-year-old James Kevin Marr, of Rocky Hill, with apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen and legs.

Marr was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he is in critical condition.

On Monday, Trooper Katan Parker told WNKY News 40 that the shooting allegedly began over an argument about a property line. Marr allegedly pinned 51-year-old William Davis, of Rocky Hill, against a vehicle with his lawn mower. Davis allegedly fired a weapon at Marr, striking him.

Parker says Davis and Marr each face possible assault charges as a result of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
