Bowling Green woman charged with DUI, leaving scene of accident

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One woman is behind bars following a crash in Bowling Green on Friday night.
According to a uniform citation, on Dec. 19 around 10:54 p.m., the Kentucky State Police was dispatched to a crash on Interstate 165 southbound near the one-mile marker.
Authorities say the caller stated one of the vehicles was leaving the scene.
Troopers say they located the vehicle on Three Springs Road with no front bumper and the airbags deployed on the passenger side.
Authorities say the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was crossing over the center line.
According to the citation, troopers conducted a traffic stop and located heavy damage on the passenger side.
The driver was identified as 26-year-old Treasure Terrell of Bowling Green.
Troopers say Terrell was asked to step out of the vehicle and hang up the phone.
Authorities say Terrell refused to hang up the phone and had an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle.
Authorities further state Terrell had “extreme slurred speech” and smelled of alcoholic beverages.
The citation states Terrell was transported to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital. While there, the citation further states Terrell “was causing a disturbance by yelling.”
Terrell was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail, where she remains on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle prohibited, reckless driving, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, failure to wear seat belts, second-degree disorderly conduct and menacing.
