U.S. Secret Service to host summit on anniversary of Gabbi Doolin’s death

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The United States Secret Service is hosting an Operation Angel Summit in Scottsville on the anniversary of Gabbi Doolin’s death.

According to a release by the U.S. Secret Service, the summit will gather students between grades seven to 12 and educators for the educational event aimed at preventing child exploitation on Friday, Nov. 14.

Featured speakers will include Amy Graves, whose daughter, Doolin, was killed by a child predator in Scottsville on November 14, 2015.

Graves spoke at an Operation Angel Summit earlier this year in Louisville as well.

In addition, participants will include the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, YMCA’s Safe Place and the U.S. Attorneys’ Office’s Project Safe Childhood, among others.

The summit, which is free for students and school staff, will focus on educating young people about how to protect themselves from predators, providing attendees with victim resources and empowering presentations from survivors.

The summit will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Allen County-Scottsville High School.

News 40 will provide additional details from this event as they are released.
