White Squirrel Brewery holds watch party for USMNT World Cup game
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Monday night, White Squirrel Brewery hosted a watch party for the Round of 16 FIFA World Cup match between USA and Belgium.
Despite fans being disappointed that the United States did not win, they still managed to have a good time.
“I’m glad White Squirrel has done these things. It’s been super fun. I didn’t get to make it last week for the Bosnia game, but some friends of mine work here, and they said it was a blast, so I made sure I got my way here tonight,” said United States Men’s National Team fan Connor Frederick.
Fans of all ages crowded in to enjoy the excitement with each other, and despite the loss from Team USA, the supporters from Warren County remained proud of their country while being happy to experience the run with their community.
“I think it’s a good World Cup. We ended up making it farther than anybody thought we would make it,” USMNT fan Matt Harrell said. “I think we’ll be stronger the next World Cup.”
“It’s hard to see the US go out this way, again, but this is probably the best the US have played in a World Cup that I’ve got to watch. I’m proud to watch this team play,” Frederick said.
