Grayson Co. Sheriff’s Office asking for assistance in road rage incident

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance after a reported road rage incident.
According to a release by the sheriff’s office, the incident occurred Tuesday at about 6:45 p.m. when a burgundy Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
Authorities say a dark colored SUV traveling in the same direction appeared to be chasing the motorcycle at a high speed.
Near the 113-mile marker, deputies say the SUV tried to run the motorcycle off of the road, causing the operator to lay the motorcycle down in the slow lane and into the ditch.
Deputies say the SUV then pulled into the emergency lane, and the passenger exited the vehicle and shot multiple rounds at the motorcyclist.
The passenger then got back into the SUV, with the driver fleeing eastbound on the parkway.
Authorities say the motorcyclist was not struck by gunfire, and no injuries were reported.
Witnesses stopped to assist the cyclist, however, they left the scene before law enforcement arrived, according to the release.
The individual accused of shooting a gun is described as a white male that is 6 feet tall with an average build. He was wearing a red flannel shirt, blue jeans and had shoulder length hair.
Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office with information at 270-259-3024. Deputy Hunter Miller is investigating this case.
Grayson County sheriff Norman Chaffins stated, “There are never winners in road rage incidents. Too often, someone innocent is hurt or killed, and families are left with lifelong scars. It simply is not worth it because there are evil people among us that have no regard for the rights or safety of other people.”
