K105 reports Puckett is sentenced to 30 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole, according to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.
In addition, K105 states the charges stem from August 2023, when Puckett’s “biological daughter, who was six months old at the time of the abuse, was taken to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.”
The Kentucky State Police stated at the time that the infant sustained injuries “consistent with child abuse and assault.”
The infant was then flown to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
“The abuse in this case was simply horrific. Law enforcement and prosecutors responded with the full weight of Kentucky’s justice system,” commonwealth’s attorney Zac Greenwell said.
In addition to a 30-year sentence, there will be a 10-year Interpersonal Protective Order to keep Puckett away from the victim. Puckett will also be under five-years of post-incarceration supervision and will be required to register with the Sex Offender Registry for the remainder of his life.
